Interested in horse showing with us? Monarch actively participates in both local and A rated horse shows. Whether it's your first time in the ring, or you are competing at the national level, we are happy to have you!
Attending a horse show can be a lot of fun and a great way for each horse and rider to further develop their skills. Our riders enjoy spending time with each other, meet new friends with common interests, learn from watching others, and experience the excitement of competition.
The divisions at a hunter/jumper horse show are Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation. In each, the rider guides a horse or pony over a set course of fences. The Jumper discipline is scored based on the objective speed and accuracy the horse and rider has over the course. Hunter and Equitation classes are based on a subjective judge of form over the course, with hunter classes sored on the form of the horse and equitation classes scored on the form of the rider. Hunter, Jumper and Equitation classes are offered for a wide range of ability levels and are divided by rider age and experience. Even our most beginner riders can find classes at most shows and can progress through the divisions as they grow.
